M.J. Wright Pub is located in the beating heart of Dublin City Centre on the corner in an iconic red brick building. Experience a true slice of history and host your next event in a building that has stood for over 100 years. The Second Floor private space has incredible views of Exchequer Street and it’s own private bar making it the perfect setting for corporate events, weddings, birthday celebrations, engagement parties, networking events, and special occasions of every kind. Hire a private dining room on the 1st Floor - our intimate wood panelled rooms provide a warm and exclusive atmosphere, ideal for private dinners, business lunches, family celebrations, and client entertaining. Larger groups can also enjoy exclusive use of the full dining space complete with its own private bar.

The main pub and cellar bar can be booked for a range of events including Cellar Bar parties, Tour Groups and Live Music Nights.

M.J. Wright is close to all hotels, public transport links and other central venues.

The Brown Butterfly Private Function Room is situated on the 2nd floor and available for private hire. Ideal for functions, weddings, celebrations and corporate events with a flexible layout and it’s own bar.

Our ‘Little Dining Room’ is available for private hire. A relaxed and intimate setting serving a set menu including dishes from the main Pub Menu menu. Private hire of the full first floor can be made requested.

Serving creamy pints of stout, Irish Whiskey, spirits, wines and beers + our Pub Menu. The Cellar Bar is home to cosy nooks and late night conversations. Listen to live music in our main pub or celebrate with friends. Group table bookings available.

  • M.J. Wright is in an old Victorian building and unfortunately we do not have a lift to our 1st, 2nd floor and basement spaces, but our ground floor has wheelchair access and disabled toilets.
